Communications & Strategy Lead, Belonging
I lead Einhorn Collaborative’s communications and Belonging strategy, leveraging the power of storytelling and narrative change to foster a culture of empathy, trust, collaboration, and connectedness in the U.S.
Most rewarding moment since joining Einhorn Collaborative
I joined Einhorn Collaborative when my daughter was one year old. During the first few months on the job, I learned about the science of emotional connection between parents and their children as part of our Bonding Strategy and how formative these early childhood experiences are in shaping our approach to navigating subsequent relationships. I feel very lucky that I get to apply these concepts and practices at home with my daughter to nurture our connection, calm one another when a massive tantrum arises, and repair when disconnection happens.
Something people may not know about me
I am a practicing and teaching textile artist. My favorite tool is a 6-foot x 4-foot tapestry loom handmade by a woodworker in Eden, New York.
Something that inspires me
“The trees act not as individuals, but somehow as a collective. Exactly how they do this, we don’t yet know. But what we see is the power of unity. What happens to one happens to us all. We can starve together or feast together.” ― Robin Wall Kimmerer
Before Einhorn Collaborative
I spent the past decade working in New York City government and the nonprofit sector on public defense, sustainability, tech policy, disability rights, and reproductive healthcare. Most recently, I was the Managing Director of Strategic Communications at The Bronx Defenders and a Senior Advisor at the NYC Racial Justice Commission. During my tenure at the NYC Mayor’s Office, I worked on key Mayoral policies and programs to improve the lives of New Yorkers.
The Year I Learned to Change My Mind
I’m taking cues from our long history of collaborative behaviors and our basic need for human connection to shape my understanding of how we can rise to the societal challenges before us and achieve better solutions by working together.
