Ira Hillman

Strategy Lead, Bonding

I lead Einhorn Collaborative’s Bonding strategy, supporting collectives of funders and programs that help parents and their babies establish and maintain emotional connection from birth.

Most rewarding moment since joining Einhorn Collaborative
In 2017, I championed the creation of Pediatrics Supporting Parents, a collaborative effort to leverage pediatric well-visits to support parents in promoting and supporting children’s social and emotional development and nurturing parent-child relationships, and was joined by four (eventually six) other national early childhood funders who have embraced and enhanced this work.

Something people may not know about me
As a teenager, I hosted a weekly local cable access show called “The College and Career Show” to give guidance to young adults planning life after high school.

Something that inspires me
“If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?” ― Rabbi Hillel

Before Einhorn Collaborative
I spent more than two decades in the nonprofit sector, working with organizations in health care, the arts, higher education, and advocacy to transform their operations, develop new strategies, and build stronger collaborations among stakeholder groups.
